Officially opened on September 12, 2025, at Level 4, Menas Mall Saigon Airport (60A Truong Son, Tan Son Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City), this is Vietnam’s first non-profit bookstore, created by Menas Corporation with the mission to spread knowledge, encourage reading culture, and build a community for book lovers.
A place where Saigon meets Oxford
The name “Saigon Oxford Bookstore” captures two spirits: “Saigon” – vibrant, cultural, and full of life; and “Oxford” – academic, refined, and intellectual. Together, they form a bridge between local warmth and global wisdom, creating a unique reading experience — elegant, quiet, yet open and friendly.
The 500m² space includes a bookstore, café, and workshop area. Visitors can find Oxford University Press publications, classic literature, and bilingual selections in English and Vietnamese. Every corner invites you to sit down, open a book, and let time slow down.
More than a bookstore — a cultural hub
Saigon Oxford Bookstore isn’t just about buying books. It’s envisioned as an “open library”, a place where readers can stay, read, join book talks, workshops, and cultural discussions. The café inside the bookstore adds warmth — blending the aroma of coffee with the scent of fresh pages.
You’ll also find Oxford-themed gifts, souvenirs, and hoodies, celebrating the joy of learning and reading.
A non-profit mission for a brighter future
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, CEO of Menas, the goal is to ignite a reading culture and contribute to Vietnam’s sustainable growth through education and knowledge. Menas plans to open three more bookstores in 2025 and ten by 2026, expanding this intellectual network nationwide.
With the launch of Saigon Oxford Bookstore, Ho Chi Minh City welcomes not just another bookstore, but a cultural destination — a place to live with books, share ideas, and nurture the lifelong love of reading.
